How we work...

By providing behaviour consultations in which we delve into your dog's behaviour with you to try and understand what is causing it, and then make a tailored plan with you to improve the behaviour. In the follow up training sessions we will show you how to implement the training yourself so that you can feel confident and see long lasting improvements.

Learning new skills and implementing training techniques might feel overwhelming, We are here to guide you through the process and make the overwhelming feel achievable.

FAQ's

Do I need a vet referral to see a behaviourist?

All consultations with a certified behaviourist require a vet referral as per the CCAB code of conduct. Understanding a dogs medical history can be really important in understanding their behaviour and without it we may miss critical information that would prevent us improving your dog's behaviour.

In many behaviour cases a dog may be fit and healthy and getting a referral from your vet might seem unneccessary. However, it is still an essential part of information gathering to help us reach a diagnosis, even if that is just to rule out any medical factors.

How will you be able to understand my dog's behaviour if you don't see the behaviour first hand?

Prior to the consultation I will ask you for video footage of your dog in certain situations to help understand the behaviour more fully. If there is still any uncertainty about your dog's behaviour after the consultation then Zoe's in-person session may be able to help shed light on how your dog is behaving.

Do you come to my house for the in-person session?

We endeavor to provide an in-person training session as part of our behaviuor package and depending on the behaviour Zoe may come to your home or meet you outside the home.
If your dog is showing aggressive behaviours towards strangers and visitors to the home it may not be appropriate to meet in person, or certain saftey protocals may need to be put in place before meeting with you in-person.
